Flow Direction

Flow direction should be 45 to 90 degrees from installation.


Entrenchment

For installation on disturbed ground, socks shall be entrenched a minimum of 2" to ensure continuous ground contact. Sock installed on vegetated ground do not need trenching except to fill in ruts, etc., ensuring proper ground contact.

Erosion Socks


Perimeter Control

Landfill Reduction Erosion Socks are permitted for perimeter control. Use them along  sidewalks, roadways, and other property boundaries. 

Slope Interruption

 Landfill Reduction Erosion Socks are permitted for slope interruption on slopes less than 12.5%. 

Staking

Staking maybe needed to ensure proper ground contact or as required by local municipality. 



Overlapping 

Overlap socks by 24" or as required by local municipality.



Application

Landfill Reduction Erosion Socks are permitted under Wisconsin DNR's perimeter control and slope interruption product guidance. They are designed to detain or slow the flow of sediment-laden sheet flow runoff from small areas of disturbed soil.
